XIHE & IKKEM Deepen Joint-Equity Collaboration for Next-Generation Graphene Wellness Materials

A Partnership Built on Science

XIHE Technology and the Jiageng Innovation Laboratory (IKKEM) have announced an expansion of their joint-equity partnership, deepening a collaboration that has already produced 18 SCI-indexed publications, 40+ core patents, and China's national industry standard for graphene flexible electrothermal film.

The expanded partnership — under which IKKEM holds a 55% stake in XIHE — launches a dedicated research track for high-emissivity graphene applications in professional wellness, recovery, and comfort technology. This represents one of the most significant institutional commitments to graphene far-infrared research outside of pure academic settings.

From Laboratory to Real-World Application

Under the scientific leadership of Academician Zheng Nanfeng — elected to the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2023 and Director of IKKEM — the partnership bridges the gap between fundamental materials science and commercial deployment. Academician Zheng's research group has published over 340 SCI papers, cited more than 40,000 times, in journals including Science and Nature.

"The partnership with XIHE allows us to translate decades of graphene research into technologies that directly support human wellness," said a laboratory spokesperson. "This is the model for how advanced materials science should reach the people it was developed to serve."

Integrated Matrix Engineering: The Core Technology

At the center of the collaboration is XIHE's integrated matrix engineering platform — a proprietary approach to graphene film fabrication that achieves spectral emissivity ≥0.88 (peak 0.98), with 99% electrothermal conversion efficiency. This performance, certified by the National Infrared and Industrial Electric Heating Product Quality Inspection and Testing Center, forms the foundation of every XIHE product from the CAPSULE to the portable Deep Recovery series.

The expanded research track will focus on next-generation material formulations, advanced spectral characterization, and new application domains for precision FIR engineering.

Setting the Standard

XIHE's role as Lead Drafter of China's national industry standard for graphene flexible electrothermal film (Standard No. 2024-0923T-YB) reflects the depth of the collaboration. Unlike companies that purchase off-the-shelf heating elements, XIHE controls every variable — from precursor powder synthesis to final module lamination — within the IKKEM-supported research ecosystem.

This vertical integration, combined with IKKEM's institutional resources and Academician Zheng's scientific leadership, positions XIHE at the forefront of graphene photobiomodulation technology globally.
